Hunan's Trade with Africa Reaches 30.53 Billion CNY in First Seven Months
Hunan's imports and exports to Africa amounted to 30.53 billion CNY during the first seven months of 2024. Among them, exports reached 16.03 billion CNY, while imports totaled 14.51 billion CNY, an increase of 90.3% from the same period last year, according to statistics by the Changsha Customs.
South Africa continued to hold its position as Hunan's top trading partner in Africa. In the first seven months, Hunan’s imports and exports to South Africa grew by 36.7% to 10.7 billion CNY, accounting for 35.1% of the total.
The import of agricultural products saw a significant increase. In the previous seven months, Hunan imported 240 million CNY of agricultural products from Africa, an increase of 10.6%. The import of aquatic products soared by 102.4% to 18.24 million CNY while those of dried and fresh fruits and nuts reached 42.18 million CNY, surging 31.6 times.
